Julia Vaughan

Julia Vaughan is a seasoned educator with over 25 years of experience in teaching and administration in North Carolina. She earned a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in English Literature from Lenoir Rhyne and a Master’s degree in Teaching (MAT) from UNCC. In addition to being passionate about special education, Julia also is a reading education and global education enthusiast. Julia loves helping education initiatives reach fruition, seeing students overcome obstacles, and coaching teachers to become more confident. Julia also relishes opportunities to help communities and families obtain needed resources. 

Julia lives with her husband and two children in Asheville, NC, and she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, hiking, biking, traveling, and writing. Additionally, Julia loves to bake, garden, and make candles.
