Amanda Cloyd

Amanda has a K-12 Art Education Degree from the University of North Carolina Asheville and a Hotel and Restaurant Management Degree from AB Tech Community College. Her experience in the Hospitality Industry brought her to realize her love for serving others in the community. After many years of making memories through special events coordinating and serving at many of Asheville’s Historic properties she felt that she could do more to influence and make memories for future generations in a positive way. This is when she returned back to school to receive her Art Education Degree.

Amanda has now worked with Ms. Misty in 1st grade for over 5 years and is grateful to be a part of a teaching community that guides and encourages students to grow through meaningful challenges, respect for diversity in others and the environment around them. Amanda feels that every experience helps define and strengthen our character and she strives to guide her students towards strengthening and defining how they want to impact their own community. In her free time, she spends time painting or creating in her home studio, snuggling with her fur babies and cooking with her partner serving the community through their pop up kitchen.
