she/her/hers
Annie received a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy/Psychology from Queens University of Charlotte and a Master’s in Education/Counseling from Western Carolina University. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor and is licensed in NC as a School Counselor and Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Annie began her Evergreen story in 2016 as a counseling intern and became the K-4 Elementary & Behavior Support Counselor in 2017. Prior to joining Evergreen, Annie worked as a Music Therapist and Creative Expressive Arts Therapist for nearly 10 years, and loves to integrate those modalities into her school programming! She has provided counseling and therapy services to children, adults, and families since 2008 in a variety of capacities including: schools, private practice, resource centers for differently abled individuals, and both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric, substance use, & medical settings.
When she is not wearing her counselor hat, Annie fills her bucket with quality time with her family, friends, and 3 furbabies, enjoying live music, traveling to explore far off places, and getting outside in these beautiful WNC mountains to get back to center. You can also find her singing, strumming, and fiddling with former Evergreen staff in their band, Pearl Street, at local area farmer’s markets April-October.
