Heather Smith

Heather Irene Smith is a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University and holds an MA in English Education.

Her experience in education spans over 20 years, and she has taught in many diverse settings in the UK, Nepal, Moldova, and Guinea, (West Africa) and New York City. Heather Irene is a former Peace Corps volunteer, and in addition to English and Social Studies, has taught ENL (English as a New Language) and Art for much of her career. Because she is an artist, musician, and Yoga instructor- she and her husband Derrek moved to Asheville in June to connect more deeply to this incredible community!
