Joéle Emma
she/her/hers
Joele (she/her/hers) born and raised on Long Gisland, is passionate about science and our natural world! From the Redwoods to the deserts and vibrant coral reefs, Joele worked as a Park Ranger soaking in the wonders around the nation. While administering education programs throughout our National Parks, Joele received her Masters from Duke University in Environmental Management. She served as the Director of Education for Asheville GreenWorks for 8 years where she bridged community and science before coming to Evergreen. She loves solo camping and the feeling of exhaustion. Her journey has been anything but ordinary—embarking on a semi-professional surfing career in her youth to immersing herself in jujitsu and taichi during the second half of life. She is a parent of three wonderful former Evergreen kids and mom to their guinea pig, Harry.
