Julie is happily rejoining the Evergreen community in 2022 as the 7/8 Exceptional Children's Teacher. She recently completed her Master's degree in Special Education K-12 at WCU to follow her passion for working with neurodiverse learners and students with learning differences. She previously served as the K-3 AIG Specialist at Evergreen and as an Orton-Gillingham tutor for EverLearning from 2019-2021. This is her 27th year in the classroom and she has taught students from preschool through 12th grade during her career as a classroom teacher, English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher, high school speech and debate coach and high school Exceptional Children's teacher. She and her husband have two wonderful young adult daughters and a new puppy named Oscar.
