Susan Haldane

Susan has a B.S. in Psychology from UNC-Greensboro and a Masters in Liberal Arts and Sciences from UNC-Asheville. Growing up in a military family, Susan has lived and traveled throughout the United States and abroad. After a career in hotel management in Asheville, Richmond, VA, and Chicago, she came to her senses and returned to the beautiful mountains of WNC.

She comes to Evergreen with extension fundraising experience, having worked in local non-profits and for a local consulting company as a project coordinator for various local fundraising endeavors. Susan previously worked for the Office of College Advancement at A-B Tech Community College, where she served as Development/Events Coordinator.

Susan believes strongly in giving back to the community where she lives and has been involved with numerous nonprofits in the area, including Our VOICE, Mission’s Rathbun House, the Asheville Humane Society, and Trinity Episcopal Church. In her free time, she enjoys just about any outdoor activity, as well as exploring the local music and restaurant scene.
